Dr. Sara Al-Sumairi BDS

 After graduating in 2006 Dr. Al never stopped learning and enriching her dental knowledge and skills. She earned a Masters’s degree in dentistry from Kings College in the United Kingdom and many different courses over many years. She moved to Canada with her small family and called Calgary their new home. 

Dr. Al values patient education and motivation to improve and maintain their oral health. She believes that patient / dentist communication builds a solid relationship and helps overcome dental anxiety which is not uncommon in adults. She follows a conservative philosophy which focuses on prevention and tailors treatment towards patients needs. She is more than happy to answer patient’s questions and concerns and discuss them in detail to help patients make good decisions towards their overall dental health.

Sara enjoys most aspects of dentistry but has special interest in oral surgery and fixed prosthodontics.  She is an active member of the Canadian Dental Association and Alberta Dental Association. 

Sara speaks both Arabic and English Fluently.

At home, Sara is a busy mom of 2 boys. She enjoys baking and cooking as well as traveling and exploring new places and new cuisines.

Basic personal information is required and is kept confidential, including your medical and dental history. This is important for our dentists to be aware of when providing treatment. We also request your insurance information, if you have any.

We follow the Alberta fee guide and provide a close to accurate estimate of all insurance discounts for your procedures. Please be aware that for some treatments, you will be responsible for paying the remainder. If need be, we have financial options to help you with payments

Generally yes, as x-rays give us an idea of your oral and dental health. X-rays are also an accurate way for us to give you an appropriate diagnosis and recommend treatment options.

If this is the case, we will contact your previous dental provider and have them send your x-rays to us.

 It is recommended by the Canadian Dental Association (CDA) to book your child for their first appointment within six months of their first tooth erupting. Or by age one if no teeth have erupted.
