Dental implants are a good option if you have one or more missing teeth. Implants are a permanent solution, also preventing surrounding teeth from shifting in your mouth. 

What are Dental Implants?

Dental implants are artificial tooth roots which are surgically implanted into the jawbone. Implants replace missing teeth and provide a stable foundation for replacement teeth that look, feel, and function like natural teeth. Dental implants are a long-term investment that will last your entire life. They are designed to work with your natural teeth, and you can enjoy eating and smiling without any worries of your teeth falling out or shifting.

Dental Implant Procedure

First, we remove the damaged tooth to make room for the implants. We then screw in an artificial post into your gums. At this point, your body will need time to accept the post, a process called osseointegration, which can take three to six months. If this is successful, the post will be strongly integrated into the jaw bone foundation.

At your next appointment, we confirm that the post is secure. Then, we take an impression of your teeth to create a custom-made crown. Once we receive this back from our laboratory, the crown will be cemented to or screwed on to the artificial post. You now have a new tooth!
